New Jubilee House Opens The Doors To 162 New Affordable Homes For At-Risk and Low-Income Residents

“This project represents our commitment to ensure Vancouver’s most vulnerable residents have affordable and accessible housing.” – Mayor Gregor Robertson

The completed construction of New Jubilee House in downtown south, providing 162 new homes for at risk seniors and low income residents, was celebrated today by Mayor Gregor Robertson and Sam Sullivan, MLA for Vancouver – False Creek.

The New Jubilee house is located at 1099 Richards Street, across the street from the original Jubilee House, which opened in 1986 at 508 Helmcken Street.

Replacing the original Jubilee House, the building offers a mix of 116 studios and 46 one-bedroom homes. A total of 87 units will house the existing at risk seniors of the former Jubilee House and 75 units will be offered at low end of market rates.
